Induction motor is characterized by simple, rugged, low-cost, reliable, low torque ripple, low noise, no position sensors, and high speed limit. induction motor speed control technology is relatively mature，it making the induction motor drive system has obvious advantages, it has been earlier used in electric brushless motor drive system. Currently, Induction motor is still the mainstream products of electric vehicle drive system (particularly in the United States), but it has gradually been replaced by other new brushless permanent magnet traction motor drive system. The biggest drawback of electric vehicle motor drive is that the circuit is complexity and the cost is high; in comparison with permanent magnet motor, induction motor’ efficiency and power density is lower.
